Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 May 2026

SheetDropper (ABN 59 957 876 379) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

What we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, and business name when you sign up.
  • Catalog data: the product and configuration data you upload. This is your data and we treat it as such.
  • Payment information: your subscription is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
  • End-customer order data: if you use the Cart & Checkout add-on, your customers' names, email addresses, phone numbers, and delivery addresses are collected at checkout and stored in your account's database to fulfil their orders. This data belongs to you as the merchant. We store it on your behalf and do not use it for any other purpose.
  • Usage data: basic server logs (IP addresses, page requests, error events) used for security and debugging. We do not use analytics tracking or advertising cookies.

How we use it

  • To create and maintain your account and catalog.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe.
  • To send transactional emails: account creation, billing receipts, order notifications, and service notices. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.
  • To investigate and respond to support requests.
  • To maintain the security and reliability of the service.

Third parties

We share your data only with the services needed to run SheetDropper:

  • Stripe — subscription payment processing and, if you use the cart add-on, payment facilitation for your customer orders via Stripe Connect. Your name and email are shared with Stripe when you subscribe.
  • Anthropic — when you use the AI Import feature, column headers and a sample of rows from your spreadsheet are sent to the Anthropic API to generate a column mapping suggestion. Anthropic's API usage policy states that inputs and outputs are not used to train their models.
  • ZeptoMail (Zoho) — transactional email delivery.
  • DigitalOcean — server hosting. Your data is stored on DigitalOcean infrastructure.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Data retention

Your account and catalog data is kept for as long as your account is active. When your subscription is cancelled or your account is deleted, your catalog data is deleted immediately. Order data collected through the cart is deleted at the same time. Billing records may be retained for longer as required by law.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Server access is restricted and monitored. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to access and correct personal information we hold about you. To request access or make a correction, email info@sheetdropper.com.

Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 May 2026

These terms govern your use of SheetDropper. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

SheetDropper is a web-based product catalog platform. You upload a spreadsheet; we host a live, searchable catalog at a URL you control. An optional Cart & Checkout add-on lets your customers place orders and pay by card directly through your catalog.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately at info@sheetdropper.com.

Payment and billing

  • The base subscription is A$29 per month, or A$319 per year, billed via Stripe.
  • The Cart & Checkout add-on is an additional A$10 per month, or A$110 per year. It can be added or removed at any time.
  • Billing is automatic. Your subscription renews on the same date each month or year.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not issue refunds for partial periods.
  • If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry. Continued non-payment may result in your catalog being suspended.

Cart & Checkout add-on

When you enable the Cart & Checkout add-on, your customers can place orders and pay by card through your catalog. The following additional terms apply:

  • You are the merchant of record. SheetDropper facilitates payments on your behalf via Stripe Connect, but the sale is between you and your customer. You are responsible for fulfilling orders, handling refunds, and complying with all applicable consumer laws.
  • Stripe Connect. To accept payments you must connect a Stripe account. By doing so you agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement. Funds are paid directly to your Stripe account; SheetDropper does not hold or have access to your sales proceeds.
  • Refunds. You are responsible for issuing refunds to your customers. SheetDropper provides refund tools in the admin panel that initiate refunds through Stripe on your behalf.
  • Customer data. You are responsible for handling your customers' personal information (names, email addresses, delivery addresses) in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act and any other applicable law. SheetDropper stores this data on your behalf solely to facilitate order management.
  • Taxes. You are responsible for determining and remitting any taxes (including GST) applicable to your sales. SheetDropper's GST calculation tools are provided as a convenience and do not constitute tax advice.

Your data

You own your catalog data. By uploading it, you grant us a limited licence to store and serve it for the purpose of providing the service. We do not use your catalog content for any other purpose.

You are responsible for ensuring that the content you upload does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights or violate any law.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, engage in illegal activity, or use the service in a way that causes harm to others or to the service itself. We will give notice where practical, but reserve the right to act immediately where necessary.

You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us to request data deletion.

Service availability

We aim to keep SheetDropper available and working, but we do not guarantee any specific uptime. The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or events outside our control. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime.

Limitation of liability

SheetDropper is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we exclude all implied warranties and limit our liability for any loss or damage arising from use of the service to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Australian courts.

Cart & Checkout

Last updated: 1 May 2026

This section applies to accounts that have the Cart & Checkout add-on active. It supplements the Terms of Service above.

You are the merchant

SheetDropper provides the technology to accept orders and process payments on your behalf. The legal relationship for each sale is between you and your customer. SheetDropper is not a party to that transaction and is not responsible for fulfilling orders, resolving disputes, or handling customer complaints about your products or delivery.

Stripe Connect

Payments are processed through your connected Stripe account via Stripe Connect. You must maintain a valid, verified Stripe account to accept payments. Funds from customer orders flow directly to your Stripe account; SheetDropper does not receive, hold, or have access to your sales revenue at any point.

By connecting a Stripe account you agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement and Privacy Policy.

Refunds and disputes

You are solely responsible for your refund policy and for issuing refunds to customers. SheetDropper's admin panel provides tools to initiate refunds through Stripe, but the decision to refund, and any obligations arising under Australian Consumer Law, rest entirely with you.

If a customer disputes a charge with their bank (a chargeback), Stripe's standard dispute process applies between you and Stripe. SheetDropper is not involved in chargeback resolution.

Customer data and privacy

When a customer places an order, their name, email address, phone number, and delivery address are collected and stored in your account. You are the data controller for this information. You are responsible for handling it in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and any other applicable privacy laws, including having an appropriate privacy policy on your own website if you embed the SheetDropper catalog.

SheetDropper stores this data on your behalf to support order management. It is deleted when your account is deleted.

Taxes

You are responsible for determining whether GST or any other tax applies to your sales and for remitting those taxes to the appropriate authority. SheetDropper's GST calculation features are provided as a convenience tool only and do not constitute tax advice. We recommend consulting a registered tax adviser if you are unsure of your obligations.

Prohibited use of the cart

You may not use the Cart & Checkout feature to sell illegal goods or services, to process payments for businesses other than your own, or in any way that violates Stripe's Terms of Service or applicable law. SheetDropper reserves the right to disable the cart feature on any account at any time if we have reason to believe it is being used unlawfully or in a way that puts customers at risk.

Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 1 May 2026

SheetDropper is a tool for publishing legitimate product catalogs. We keep things simple: use it honestly, do not use it to harm others.

You may not use SheetDropper to

  • Publish illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive content.
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others, including publishing product images or descriptions you do not have the right to use.
  • Distribute malware, phishing pages, or any content designed to deceive or harm end users.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any person or group.
  • Circumvent or attempt to bypass security controls, rate limits, or access restrictions.
  • Resell or sublicense access to the SheetDropper API or platform to third parties without our written permission.
  • Use automated bots or scrapers against the service in a way that disrupts normal operation.

Your catalog content

You are solely responsible for the content of your catalog. We do not review catalog content before it goes live. If we become aware of content that violates this policy or applicable law, we will remove it and may suspend the account.

Reporting violations

If you find a SheetDropper-hosted catalog that you believe violates this policy, please contact us at info@sheetdropper.com with details. We will investigate and respond promptly.

Breaching this policy may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

Fair Use

Last updated: 1 May 2026

SheetDropper is designed for businesses publishing real product catalogs. The $29/month plan is priced for that use case. We do not impose hard limits on product counts or upload frequency, but we expect usage to be reasonable and consistent with running a legitimate product catalog.

What counts as reasonable

  • Uploading your full product catalog as often as you need to, within normal business frequency.
  • Using the API (via the desktop app or direct integration) to manage your own catalog.
  • Hosting a catalog that your customers browse. Catalogs with high traffic are fine.

What is outside fair use

  • Using a single account to host catalogs for multiple unrelated businesses.
  • Programmatically generating thousands of products in a way that is clearly not a real catalog.
  • Using the platform primarily as bulk file storage.
  • Reselling or white-labelling the service to other businesses without a separate agreement.

If your usage is unusual

If your catalog is genuinely large or your usage is outside the norm, we will contact you before taking any action. Most legitimate businesses will never run into any of this. If you have a specific use case that you are not sure about, email us at info@sheetdropper.com and we will sort it out.

We are not trying to catch anyone out. These policies exist to keep the service fair and sustainable for everyone using it.
